The Scenic Route: Definitive Edition in Development!

As recently announced on my Patreon , The Scenic Route will be getting a Definitive Edition release! Originally released as a Yuri Jam 2023 entry, the original game was my first foray into game development, and is therefore a bit rough around the edges.

In The Scenic Route: Definitive Edition, we're giving this game the polish it deserves. This will include a revamped mini-game system, a custom GUI, several new features including a gallery, music room, etc. and a completely re-worked story tailored for a much longer gameplay experience(Including the long awaited Percy route)! Can you believe the original game was only 8k words?

As of right now(January 2025) there has already been quite a bit of progress made to bring The Scenic Route up to the quality level that it deserves. There will be frequent updates on the progress of the game, as well as an early access release on my Patreon(Progress posts will be made public 1 month after posting).

...So what does this mean for this version of The Scenic Route? Currently, nothing! This version of the game will continue to remain free-to-play and available on itch.io for the remainder of time. Although it isn't my finest work, this game still holds a special place in my heart. 

As for The Scenic Route: Definitive Edition, it will be a paid game available on Itch.io as well as Steam. It'll be a pretty expansive take on the game(very time consuming as well!) so it will be a commercially released game. Details on pricing and release date will be determined at a later time, but for now please continue to look forward to the continuous updates!
